us tariffs news

So apparently the US (you know who I mean in specific) had the idea to end the "de minimus" exemption which has allowed most packages valued under $800 to enter the US duty-free.
This will come into effect on August 29th (if the guy won’t change his mind again)

Since I‘m sending from Germany and my packages are under $800 this will affect you as well. tried to find any info I can and it's not really clear at the moment, but it looks like one of two import taxes will hit US buyers.

1st option
US buyer will be subject to an import fee in line with the country of origin (in my case germany 15%). plus probably some processing fees as well I imagine.

or 2nd option
They'll charge a set fee of $80 per item ( I guess this means per package) for 6 months, after that they'll return to option 1.

The first would be manageable but the second stands in no relation to the value of the package. I don't want you to pay an additional 80 bucks to your government for a print that's only 20€ if option two is happening.

If you wanted something from my shop I advice you to place your order really soon. I'll prioritize to send out US orders right now and will pause the parcel checkout for US customers with a heavy heart on August 11th until I hear other news or the 6 months are over.

This is a big hit for me since I have a lot of lovely and loyal customers and friends there.US people already have to go through so much these past year and it‘s deviating to see how it adds up which each day.

I know a lot of you still want to support me and an option would be commissions since they’re digital files and no physical package will be shipped. Everything that will be send via letter should also be fine. You can find it here .

I really hope it will be option 1, but it's all really unclear at the moment and I just want to be on the safe side for you. I check the news daily and if I got some more info I‘ll let you know. We will pull through🧡
